The Ultimate Oregon Coast Road Trip
November 23, 2020
A great way to escape the city hustle and bustle of Portland is to head about 2 hours west to the Oregon Coast, specifically Manzanita Beach. Here are some tips for packing as well as fun stops you can make along the way!
Ready… Set… Go!
Don’t worry about packing your entire house. Our team will fully stock each rental with all the toilet paper, hand soap, and every consumable product you will need. Seriously, don’t worry — there will even be a washer and dryer with detergents there. So once you pack the car with your road trip snacks and luggage, you are ready to head out!
Take a Break en Route
When your snacks are gone, and it becomes time for lunch, the eye-catching restaurant Camp 18 is a must! Your family will be welcomed to sit by the fire or on the outside patio. Keep in mind to leave room for one of their famous giant cinnamon rolls.
Explore the Beautiful Coast
After lunch, it is time to hop back in the car, where you will now drive another 18 miles until you hit the Oregon Coast Highway 101. Head South towards Manzanita. As excitement builds and views of the ocean pass you by. It becomes nearly impossible to not stop and stretch.
One of the best spots to stop is at Short Sands Beach. Located just south of Cannon Beach and near Manzanita, you will find this secluded area. You will pull off into the Oswald West parking lot. From there, you will enter a short walk through the forest landscape. Short Sands is known for its surfing spot. Grab your board or enjoy a cold beer and watch!
Relax in the Comfort of Your Private Rental
Following your adventure, it is time to get back in the car and head to your final stop, your luxury vacation rental home. Freshen up and grab some beach blankets to run down to Manzanita Beach to catch a breathtaking sunset. Here is your time to enjoy your Manzanita getaway and a stay your family will talk about for years.
